Command Sergeant Major Raymond T. Price, III enlisted in the U.S. Army in July of 1986, and attended Basic Training at Fort Dix, N.J. He graduated as a Combat Medical Specialist at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
CSM Price’s expansive leadership assignments include Squad Leader; Section Sergeant; Senior Medical Flight Instructor in 50th Medical Company (Air Ambulance) at Fort Campbell, Ky.; Field Recruiter in Southern California; Medical Observer/Controller and Medical Platoon Sergeant in 1/4th Infantry Regt (OPFOR) at the Combat Maneuver Training Center, Hohenfels, Germany; Operations Sergeant, MEDDAC, Fort Carson, Colo.; Medical MTT NCOIC in Kabul, Afghanistan; Instructor/Writer NCOIC in the Department of Combat Medical Training. He served as the First Sergeant in D Co. 232 Medical Battalion at Ft Sam Houston, Texas; and as the First Sergeant for 236th Medical Company (Air Ambulance) in Landstuhl, Germany.
He graduated from the Sergeants Major Academy (Class 58) at Fort Bliss, Texas, served as Senior Clinical NCO for Ireland Army Community Hospital, and the Command Sergeant Major for the Fort Knox Warrior Transition Battalion. CSM Price was the Command Sergeant Major for the only dual mission hospital: 121st Combat Support Hospital and Brian Allgood Army Community Hospital in Seoul, Korea. CSM Price recently served as the Command Sergeant Major for Bassett Army Community Hospital and MEDDAC-ALASKA.
Some of CSM Price’s major military accomplishments include Flight Medical Aidman Course, Airborne School, Air Assault School, Equal Opportunity Managers Course, Army Recruiter Course, Observer/Controller Course, Chief Clinical NCO Course, WTU Cadre/Leadership Course. Basic Health Care Administration Course, the MEDCOM Commanders/CSM Course and all leadership development to include Primary Leadership Development Course, Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course, Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Course, the First Sergeant Course, U.S. Army’s Sergeants Major Academy (Class 58), and the Command Sergeants Major Course.
His awards include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal (3 OLC), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal (2nd OLC), the Army Achievement Medal (6th OLC), Expert Field Medical Badge, Master Aircrew Member Badge, Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, Gold Recruiter Badge, Order of Military Medical Merit and the German Schutzen Schnur (Silver).
CSM Price’s civilian education includes an Associate’s Degree from Pikes Peak College and a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from Columbia Southern University.
