Exclusive Services Include

Physical Fitness Assessment (90 mins)

Measures the 5 components of physical fitness: body composition, cardiovascular fitness, musculoskeletal strength, musculoskeletal endurance and flexibility.

Client will receive an exercise prescription based on their individual fitness goals.

Test preparation includes: wear comfortable workout clothing, no underwire bra, no heavy meal prior to test.

Metabolic Assessment (2 part appointment; initial assessment-30 min followed by "Upping Your Metabolism" class - 1 hour)

Accurately determines resting metabolic rate using indirect calorimetry and body composition - Bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) estimates total body fat and lean muscle.

Client will receive individual results and a meal plan at follow up metabolism class.

Test preparation includes no physical activity, food, tobacco or drink 4 hours prior (may have water).

Be well hydrated; drink plenty of water the day before testing.

Bod Pod (30mins)

Measurement of body composition (body fat %) using air displacement.

Test preparation includes: wear tight fitting clothes (i.e. spandex or compression shorts, Speedo, sports bra)

No food or drink 2 hours prior to test.

Biofeedback (initial Stress Management class-1 hr then individual sessions-1 hr)

An introductory class about stress management, then 6 biofeedback sessions - working on stress management techniques such as deep breathing, how to control heart rate and relaxation. Sessions include time in a massage chair.

Wellness Classroom

Allows nurse and health educators to provide educational services on metabolism, stress management, and much more.
