In conjunction with the civilian provider network established by TRICARE Humana South, the Tricare Contractor, the personnel at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center(DDEAMC) are committed to providing for your health care needs. The following information will be helpful to you as you begin the enrollment process.
Active duty service members who inprocess through Darling Hall will be enrolled in TRICARE PRIME and assigned a healthcare provider at DDEAMC. In order to maintain family integrity, the following empanelment rules apply to active duty family members enrolling in TRICARE PRIME.
a. If you live within a 30-minute drive of DDEAMC, you will be assigned a healthcare provider in the Family Medicine Clinic at EAMC.
b. If you live outside the 30-minute radius of DDEAMC, you may request a provider at DDEAMC, but must waive the 30-minute rule to do so.
Retirees, retiree family members, and survivors selecting TRICARE PRIME and who live within a 30-minute drive of DDEAMC, will be assigned a Primary Care Manager (PCM) within the DFCM (Department of Family and Community Medicine) at DDEAMC. Every effort to honor your choice of a PCM will be made. Services provided at EAMC are at no cost, except for a low daily fee for inpatient care if you are hospitalized. Once assigned to EAMC, the DFCM will provide your primary care as long as you are enrolled in TRICARE PRIME, unless you request a change in your PCM.
